Savings by efficiency should be the key to this budget.

The Moray Council is faced with a reduction in funding from the Scottish Government which means that the money available for the provision of services provided by the Council is reduced. The 2010 Budget Options have been produced by the Council to address this situation and there are plans to consult on this across Moray. Any consultation on the budget options must be meaningful ie the views that are received are given fair and serious consideration. We in Forres must put our views and suggestions forward to the Moray Council both by writing to the Council and by getting the local councillors to listen to and represent us, the people they were elected by.
