Bogton - Redco Milne Development
The retail development proposed by Redco
Milne on the Common Good land at Bogton raises many questions including:
Should the land at Bogton be sold to
a developer to make profit (for the developer) from a retail development
which may be to the detriment of our existing shops?
Should the land at Bogton be used
for local amenities for the people of Forres eg skateboard park, other
youth/leisure facilities or general open ground park (as it is at present)?
Should Forres Mechanics' ground be
moved - at a cost to the Common Good - to make way for the development?
Should there be yet another
roundabout on the A96 trunk road? This would make a total of six between the
Enterprise Park and the Mackenzie Cruickshank Garden Centre ie three
existing roundabouts plus new ones at Lochyhill and Bogton and near the
garden centre for the flood alleviation.
Does Forres need a
third supermarket and will a retail development
benefit the town?
The views of the people of Forres should
decide the use of Bogton Common Good land and the proposed retail park, so I
would like to know your views. Email me
